I have a serious passion for, and commitment to, helping others achieve their fitness and overall health goals. My efforts have endured years in the health care space and now as a retired healthcare professional, I am continuing my personal mission by helping others with their health and fitness goals. Most importantly, developing a strong understanding of their current state of health and fitness and helping chart a course toward lifelong health and vigor. This entails comprehensive review of nutrition, physical fitness and goal development to sustain the effort.
I hold a Bachelor/s degree in Health and Human Services with emphasis in Laboratory Science and Biochemistry. I have a Master/s Degree in Administration and Management with emphasis in Health Services and am a registered Histotechnologist. As a 51-year veteran Healthcare executive, I have held clinical, financial, Administrative and CEO roles for large hospital systems, Duke Health, Parkview Health and small facilities dedicated to the delivery of high- quality Cardiac care, Critical Care and Rehabilitation. It is my pleasure to now dedicate my retirement time to helping others with Personal training, nutrition, advanced sports nutrition, corrective exercise and exercise therapy.
I currently also hold certification and actively practice and teach stretching and flexibility , mobility, balance improvement and facilitated stretching. As of this time in addition to holding the Master Trainer certification, I also am a certified Health Coach enrolled with ISSA for a Life Coach certification, with completion expected soon.
I have participated in, competed and trained in Martial arts for over 50 years and am an instructor in Taekwondo and mixed martial arts. I hold a 3rd degree black belt in Tae kwon do, and in Tang Soo So, and am an internationally certified Taekwondo referee through the United States Tae Kwon do Federation. I also hold black a belt rank in Judo (Nidan). My interests lie in Kali and Silat having trained in those areas for 7 years.
